The CHS Story – a brief insight…
The CHS business model was developed by David Sheehan, who was a practising remedial therapist and had personally experienced the lack of educational offerings from experienced facilitators in the continuing education industry.
After 2 years of operating his own corporate massage business, David conceptualized the CHS business model with the objective of providing educational products and services to the professional massage therapist.
During this initial start-up period, David utilised his skills-base and management experience developed through 12 years of growing a small business in the tourism industry to an annual turnover of 3.5 million.
David recognised that Continuing Education for massage therapists in Australia was:
• growing rapidly
• immature in its product offerings (cottage industry)
• extremely fragmented
It is now CHS’s overall business objective to be the leader in delivering its products and services to the massage industry.
To provide therapists with an opportunity to build on their base skills learned through formal education giving the therapist a greater sense of purpose which inturn benefits the industry by raising standards and profile of massage in the community.
Supporting local communities
We support small local business. All our educational DVD’s are produced and duplicated locally in Australia.
Supporting those less fortunate
We believe that it is the responsibility of every individual and business organisation to actively support those who face great challenges in their lives. We conduct our events at Challenge House, Victoria – headquarters for Challenge – a non-profit charity providing support and services to children with cancer and their immediate families.
